Today Premium Vaginal Pessary is used for conjunction with other methods of contraception. Contraception in spermicidal creams, jellies, foams, gel, and lubricants. It may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
It is used as spermicidal (kill sperms) contraceptives.
It works by interacting with the lipids in the membranes of the acrosome and the mid piece of the sperm. Or kills the sperms by breaking their outer covering.
It is composed of the following active ingredients (salts)
Nonoxynol – 5%
Discomfort of the eye
Sting or burn eyes for a minute
Eye discomfort
Redness
Temporary blurred vision
Application site irritation
Before using Today Premium Vaginal Pessary, inform your doctor about your current list of medications.
It should be put in place inside the vagina before intercourse and left there for at least six hours after intercourse.
It interacts with birth control pills
Do not use petroleum jelly (Vaseline), mineral oil (baby oil), or any oil-based vaginal and rectal preparations while using it.
Breast feeding mothers should consult the doctor before using.
It may cause genital skin problems.
